As I mentioned in a previous post, NRF is coming up and, for those of us that have been in the retail technology space for a number of years, this is a big deal.  It’s the one show that tends to draw important retailers and important executives.

With that in mind, I’m going to be doing a couple of things as NRF gets closer:

1. Posting on some topics of importance for 2009 in retail security
2. Posting to tools, articles, and other areas of particular interest to retailers that are getting ready for 2009
3. I’m going to blogging about what I see when I’m at NRF this year and looking for security and its ‘presence’ at the show - currently it looks like security is going to be very underrepresented at Javits (other than in marketing pitches to move product.)  We’ll see what we’ll see.

So, if this sounds interesting, check back periodically.  Also, if you are going to be attending NRF and would like to chat for a minute, I’m going to be there, walking the floor, attending sessions, meeting old friends (it’s completely ‘old home’ week for a lot of us), and meeting with clients….  Let me know and I’ll certainly do my best to make time to meet if you’re up for it.
